On Wednesday, Johnson announced via Instagram that Alexia Grevious Henderson has been named President of Magic Johnson Enterprises. In his statement, Johnson said: “Alexia’s leadership, creativity, and strategic thinking have been instrumental in driving revenue and elevating our brand. She is one of the brightest young minds in today’s business world. Her astute business acumen is one of a kind and she has done a marvelous job managing our partners across all lines of business, constantly overdelivering to ensure that we maintain MJE’s commitment to excellence. I am thrilled to see her step into this well‑deserved role.” Johnson’s announcement was met with a flurry of congratulatory messages for Henderson. “Congrats to the most amazing Daughter in Love ever!! ❤️💯❤️,” wrote Alexia’s mother-in-law, Carmella Handerson. “Proud dad moment. Henderson had previously served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Marketing at MJE. In that role, she managed corporate partnerships, oversaw contractual activations, and directed marketing and communications initiatives to advance Magic Johnson’s brand. In her new role as President, Henderson will lead MJE’s external partner relationships, oversee activation of all contractual partnership obligations, and assist in business development initiatives. She will also guide the strategic advancement of Magic Johnson’s corporate brand across all divisions.
