Cong., BRS engaged in appeasement politics: Bandi Sanjay Kumar

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the Congress and BRS of engaging in appeasement politics and alleged that both parties have failed to address the real issues faced by the public. “While people are suffering due to rising prices, farmers’ distress, and lack of infrastructure, the ruling parties are focused on divisive politics,” he charged, addressing a public meeting over the JH bypoll, at Borabanda on Thursday. The BJP leader reiterated his party’s commitment to development and transparency, while launching a scathing critique of the Congress and BRS. Mr. Sanjay Kumar questioned the State administration’s decision to revoke permissions for party meetings, including his own, asserting the party’s right to hold meetings and connect with people. “We have previously held successful meetings in Old City. Borabanda is our stronghold, and we will continue to engage with the people here,” he said, and criticised the TG government for its handling of public safety and infrastructure, citing incidents of law and order breakdown and alleged negligence in addressing citizens’ concerns. The Minister also raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the implementation of welfare schemes and called for accountability and transparency, urging voters to demand answers from the ruling parties. He criticised attempts to polarise voters and warned against falling for short-term inducements. At the same time he also appealed to the majority community voters to unite and exercise their electoral power, claiming that the BJP is the only party committed to protecting their interests and ensuring inclusive development. Mr. Sanjay Kumar challenged the Opposition leaders to a public debate on the development of Hyderabad and said his party is ready to present a detailed report on the central government’s contributions to the city’s growth. “The people of Jubilee Hills have a historic opportunity to bring about real change. Let us vote for development, transparency, and a better future,” he said. Party chief N. Ramchander Rao and vice-president MP D.K. Aruna were present.
