Come out for dinner and help support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). People First Aktion Club members will be on hand, cleaning tables and gladly accepting tips and donations to support their club activities. Every dollar raised stays local and helps members build leadership skills, serve their community, and participate in meaningful experiences. Your generosity truly makes a difference! LIFE Mower County’s Autism Friendly Austin program has a variety of fun and inclusive activities planned for children and teens this November and December. Rec Nights at the Austin YMCA Friday, Nov. 7: SPARKS (Ages 5–12), 6–8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21: Teen Connect (Ages 13–21), 6–8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5: SPARKS (Ages 5–12), 6–8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19: Teen Connect (Ages 13–21), 6–8 p.m.Winter Break Day Camp at LIFE Mower County Monday, Dec. 29: Ages 5–21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Autism Friendly Austin, a program of LIFE Mower County, provides monthly Rec Nights—supervised evenings full of fun, swimming, games, and a light snack. These gatherings are designed for youth with autism and other diverse abilities to connect, play, and grow in a supportive environment. The Winter Break Day Camp will be a full day of excitement with games, crafts, music, and outdoor activities (weather permitting). Kids and teens can make new friends, try new things, and enjoy holiday-themed fun in a safe and welcoming space. It’s a great way to celebrate the season while creating lasting memories!
