BermudAir Adds Early Flights Ahead Of Storm
BermudAir confirmed it had operated a series of early departures to assist residents, visitors, and business travellers in leaving the island safely before the expected arrival of Hurricane Humberto and Hurricane Imelda.
A spokesperson said, “With the storm approaching, BermudAir adjusted its schedule and added earlier flights to ensure customers had options to travel before conditions deteriorated. These flights provided safe passage for passengers who needed to depart urgently.”
Adam Scott, Founder & CEO at BermudAir, said the airline’s focus has been on supporting customers during this challenging time, “Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew. I want to acknowledge the efforts of our team, who responded quickly and worked with great care to make these changes possible.
“We are grateful we could assist many people in leaving the island before the storm’s arrival,” continued Mr. Scott. “As the weather develops, we will continue to monitor conditions closely and be ready to resume services as soon as it is safe to do so.”
A spokesperson added, “BermudAir has confirmed that passengers on the adjusted flights were accommodated and is now preparing for the storm’s impact. The airline is maintaining close contact with relevant authorities and monitoring updates as the system progresses.”
