Comedian Matt Rogers was surprised to learn Kylie Kelce is Jason Kelce‘s wife — not his sister. Rogers, 35, owned up to making an assumption about the couple’s relationship during the “I Don’t Think So, Honey” segment of his and Bowen Yang‘s “Las Culturistas” podcast on Wednesday, November 5, with guest Jennifer Lawrence. “I don’t think so, honey, Kylie Kelce is his wife? I thought she was their sister,” Rogers began his 60-second rant. “I thought Kylie Kelce was Travis and Jason’s sister.” Yang, 34, joked in the background, “That’s on you,” as his BFF explained how he finally came to the realization that he was wrong. “Here’s what happened. I was leaving a hotel and I walk past this girl and I’m like, ‘Oh, my God. That’s Kylie Kelce,'” Rogers said. “She’s about 5’6 … and [my friend] goes, ‘No, no, no. She’s tall.’ And I go, ‘Right, because that family’s tall.’ And I go about my life thinking that’s their sister who has a podcast.” Rogers — a frequent guest on Today With Jenna & Friends — revealed he “even Googled” to find out Kylie’s actual height. “She is 5’10,” he said. “Then I find out, that’s his wife?! That’s Jason Kelce’s wife.” Rogers joked that the mistake felt “so disrespectful toward another podcaster,” referring to Kylie’s “Not Gonna Lie” show. “I don’t know why I thought that was their sister,” he continued. “I don’t think so, honey, me. I need to know this. Pop culture is supposed to be something I know about and I should know about other podcasters. Kylie, I’m sorry I disrespected [you]. Please come on the pod.” Following his friend’s revelation, Yang explained, “Sometimes women be siblings,” before correcting himself for making the same mixup. “Now I see where you’re coming from,” Lawrence, 35, chimed in. “I never thought that, but I get it. She is very tall. I can see why you’re feeling very thrown by that.” The real kicker? Whoever Rogers saw had no relation to the Kelces in any way. “I thought because it was the Bowery Hotel [in New York City], I’m like, ‘This is a place she would stay. I mean, she’s the sister of the Kelces.’ … I just thought, ‘Oh wow, they’re a family of natural podcasters and natural stars,’ and then I find out that that’s his wife.” Kylie and Jason, 37, have been married since 2018 and share four daughters. Thanks to both of their successful podcasts — Jason and Travis, 36, cohost “New Heights” — fans have gotten a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the family’s dynamic. Most recently, Kylie candidly considered whether she would leave Travis alone to watch all four of her kids. “To be fair, on the other podcast, I did say that I would leave three children with him unsupervised for, like, an hour,” she said, referring to a past “New Heights” appearance. “I do think that I would leave him unsupervised with four children … for, like, an hour. Maybe two.” Kylie admitted that “it would not be nice” to put Travis in charge while the couple’s youngest daughter, 7-month-old Finn, is still “at a crucial age.” “If there was a situation where I needed him to babysit the older three kids, I’d [say], ‘Good luck, Trav. See you in a couple days,'” she said. “I’d ditch him.”
