Colts Get Big Update on Trade Target With Looming Deadline

The Indianapolis Colts are sitting pretty. Despite losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, they still occupy first place in the AFC South. They are also tied with the Denver Broncos for the best record in the NFL. The Cincinnati Bengals are the belle of the ball in terms of trade targets for November 4th’s deadline. Three players who are drawing interest from multiple teams are Logan Wilson, Cam Taylor-Britt, and Trey Hendrickson, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. Russini has also revealed the price tag for a contending team to acquire one of these players. Bengals Players Drawing Interest From Multiple Teams With the Bengals out of a playoff spot, they are poised to sell off assets that can help playoff teams. Russini reported that at least five teams are checking in with the Bengals regarding their available players. “Many teams, including the Rams, 49ers, Lions, Colts, and Eagles, have called the Bengals on numerous players,” Russini wrote on November 1, 2025. “Including LB Logan Wilson, CB Cam Taylor-Britt, and, of course, DE Trey Hendrickson. For now, some teams don’t believe Cincinnati has any real interest in moving its core pieces.” It appears that the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers will all have to take a number in terms of acquiring one of the players mentioned above. Who Are the Colts Interested in Trading For? Several reports are available about the specific players the Colts are targeting. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated drew one connection to Hendrickson. “I don’t think there’s a huge need on their roster,” Breer wrote on October 15, 2025. “Maybe they could use a pass rusher, and there’s the obvious Trey Hendrickson–Lou Anarumo tie if the Bengals were to fall apart in the coming weeks. But they don’t really need to force anything, which is a good place to be.” On Thursday, October 16, Breer answered questions on social media and revealed another detail of the Hendrickson-Colts connection. “(Hendrickson) could be one that would be interesting to look at,” Breer said on the stream, according to Scott Horner of the Indianapolis Star. “The Colts made a play for Hendrickson in the summer. The Bengals asked for a lot.” “Breer said Cincinnati wanted an early draft pick and defensive lineman Grover Stewart in return,” Horner continued. Today’s Cost For Hendrickson Russini took to social media earlier on Monday to reveal the cost of acquiring Hendrickson. “League sources say the Bengals are still asking for a first-round pick in any deal for Trey Hendrickson at this time,” Russini wrote on November 3, 2025, on X. “The trade deadline arrives in just over 28 hours, and teams are continuing to call Cincinnati about a number of their players. For now, prices remain high.” Afterwards, she followed up that post with an update. Apparently, many teams aren’t eager to fork over a first-round draft pick for a player who could walk away after a playoff run. “Trey Hendrickson becomes a free agent at the end of the year,” Russini wrote. “Teams calling the Bengals inquiring about a trade are hopeful that Cincinnati will lower its asking price for a deal to get done between now and 4 p.m. ET tomorrow, sources say.” Regardless of what actually transpires for the Colts, this will be one storyline to monitor closely. One thing is for sure – only needing to trade away a draft pick instead of a pick and a player is a most welcome development.
