Cognizant, a leading IT service and consulting firm, has announced the integration of Anthropic's Large Language Model (LLM), Claude, into its client-facing platforms. The company plans to extend access to this advanced AI technology to some 350,000 employees across corporate, engineering, and delivery functions. The move is part of an expanded partnership with Anthropic aimed at transitioning enterprises from AI pilots to large-scale deployments. Cognizant plans to integrate Claude and its Mac and Windows versions, called Claude Code, with Flowsource. Flowsource is Cognizant's generative AI engineering platform that supports coding tasks, testing, documentation, and DevOps processes. The company also plans to use Anthropic's Agent SDK for multi-agent orchestration with human-in-the-loop controls. This integration is expected to enhance productivity across various functions within the organization. Cognizant plans to combine its modernization frameworks with Claude's code-understanding capabilities. This will help analyze and re-factor large collections of human-written source code files. The integration is expected to help enterprises integrate AI into their existing systems without major architectural overhauls. This way, companies can leverage the power of AI while maintaining their current infrastructure. Cognizant and Anthropic will work together to develop vertical AI solutions using Cognizant's industry platforms and Anthropic's model context protocols. The first such solution will be in the financial services sector. These solutions will embed agentic workflows into regulated environments, with oversight and governance controls. This partnership is expected to create innovative AI applications tailored for specific industries. As part of the partnership, Cognizant will conduct workshops and platform-based engagements. These sessions are aimed at helping clients identify potential use cases for AI and move them into production. The collaboration also includes the practices for safe deployment and monitoring aligned with governance standards like the Model Context Protocol. This ensures that AI technologies are implemented responsibly within organizations.
