Speaking on the All The Smoke podcast, Cody was asked about how often wrestlers work and the load management that comes with being a WWE performer. He noted that it's better than it was, but it brings with it a set of challenges. Cody noted that credit should go to whoever figures out the way to become a star without as many reps and practice to perfect their craft in front of live crowds. Rhodes explained: "Credit to whoever figures out — with load management — whoever figures out how we improve, and I’m seeing it. Dom Mysterio is probably my favorite example. Dom Mysterio does not have the amount of live events that we used to have, although he’s working multiple companies for WWE at the moment. Special, special talent." Rhodes added, "He’s somebody that’s often cited internally — I don’t think I’m giving anything away here — as somebody who’s gonna be the future of the WWE." Will Fans Pay To See Dom Down The Line? Cody talked about how his father once said that working in today's style can be harder than working in the past. The pressure is always on. Every match and every promo is on a huge stage, in high definition and the pressure is always on. Dom is hitting out of the park and rarely, if ever, drops the ball. Rhodes noted, "He’s one of the ones that when it’s said, I believe it. I think I’m gonna come to a WWE show in 15 years and pay money to see and it will probably be Dom Mysterio on the top of the card, because he’s figuring out how to do it." Is Dom the future of WWE? His progression in the business and the legacy that he comes from suggests he's got all the tools to be one of the biggest stars in the industry over the next several years. He's just scratching the surface of what he can become and the current WWE Champion seems to be here for it.
