American rock band Downstait's guitarist, Justin Call, recently made a major confession related to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The musician revealed that The American Nightmare played a huge role in his Kingdom theme song.Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest stars in World Wrestling Entertainment at the moment. Whenever the 40-year-old shows up on WWE TV, fans can't help but sing his theme song Kingdom with him. Rhodes' theme was recorded by legendary rock band Downstait. The band's lead guitarist, Justin Call, recently made an appearance on the Ropes N Riffs Podcast, where he was asked about the inspiration behind Cody Rhodes' theme, Kingdom.Call revealed that Kingdom was inspired by Bring Me the Horizon's popular song, Throne and Paramore's Decode. The musician also confessed that it was Rhodes' choice, as the latter wanted a similar message to Throne in his theme."'Throne' by Bring Me the Horizon was one of the big ones that Cody was like, 'I really like the message of this song, and that's what I want to do with the lyrics for this.' But when we were coming up with the music, I really wanted something to drive like 'Decode' from Paramore. So we have a drum pattern that's a little similar to that, but it drives through that chorus really well.
