Coatbridge & Bellshill MP Frank McNally has hailed the success of his first Jobs Fair. Held at New College Lanarkshire’s Coatbridge campus and organised in partnership with the college’s 160th anniversary open day, the event brought together a diverse range of employers, support agencies and training providers to help young people and jobseekers explore opportunities in the area. Employers and organisations in attendance included Mears, Persimmon Homes, Police Scotland and Skills Development Scotland. Mr McNally said afterwards: “It was fantastic to see so many people attend our first Jobs Fair, and I want to thank New College Lanarkshire, all the employers and support organisations who made it such a success. “Events like this show the talent and potential we have locally, and the opportunities available when employers, agencies and education providers work together. “I hope this will now become an annual event, helping people into training, education and work.” *Don’t miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
