NATIONALS ABANDON NET ZERO, FRESH CHAOS AWAITS Today is November 3. Six months ago on May 3, Labor romped to a landslide victory that left the Coalition in disarray. In the half a year since the election, the Albanese government has gone about its business with virtual impunity as the opposition decided its energy was better spent on arguing over whether to dump net zero and what t-shirts people are allowed to wear. Unsurprisingly, that chaos has impressed no-one, with The Australian overnight revealing the latest Newspoll shows the Coalition’s primary vote has collapsed to a record-low of 24% and Liberal Party leader Sussan Ley’s net approval -rating now sits at minus 33 (meanwhile, One Nation secured a record-high primary vote of 15% in the polling).
