(CNMI SBDC) — The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network at Northern Marianas College is proud to announce that Adelpha “Del” Lynn Kapileo Magofna has been recognized as the 2025 state Star awardee, a prestigious honor celebrating excellence within America’s SBDC Network.
The SBDC State Star Award is one of the network’s highest accolades, presented annually to individuals who demonstrate exceptional performance, make significant contributions to their local network, and show unwavering commitment to advancing America’s small businesses.
Magofna was officially honored during the ASBDC 46th Annual Training Event held earlier this month in Orlando, Florida, where State Stars from across the nation gathered to celebrate their shared dedication to entrepreneurship and small business growth.
Currently serving as administrative office manager for the CNMI SBDC, Magofna plays a pivotal role in driving the success and sustainability of small businesses throughout the Marianas. With a Master’s degree in Public Administration, she is a passionate advocate for economic and community development. Beyond her SBDC role, she actively serves as a member of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, working closely with local businesses and the Chamber’s Armed Forces Committee to foster innovation and collaboration. She also inspires the next generation of leaders as an adjunct instructor at Northern Marianas College, equipping students with practical skills and real-world business expertise.
“Del’s recognition as our 2025 State Star is a testament to her hard work, heart, and vision,” said Nadine Deleon Guerrero Kintol, CNMI SBDC network director. “Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening our programs and expanding our reach to support small businesses across the Marianas. We are incredibly proud to see her celebrated on the national stage and to have the CNMI represented among America’s top SBDC professionals.”
“I am humbled to receive this recognition and to be part of a team so dedicated to empowering our local entrepreneurs,” said Magofna. “This award is not just for me, but for our entire network and the small business community we serve. It inspires me to continue working alongside my colleagues and partners to help build a stronger, more resilient economy for the Marianas.”
