Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present the State Film awards for the years 2018 and 2019 at a ceremony to be held in Mysuru on November 3. The event, organised by the Mysuru district administration in association with the Department of Information and Public Relations, will be held at 5 p.m. at the Convocation Hall of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), said Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikant Reddy. Presiding over a preparatory meeting at the Mysuru City Corporation office on Monday, Mr. Reddy said the Chief Minister will present awards to the best actors male and female, directors, and other winners. He directed officials to ensure that all arrangements are in place and that no lapses occur. “As the programme will be held in the evening, suitable accommodation should be arranged in advance for dignitaries,” he added. The Deputy Commissioner instructed that separate parking arrangements be made for general visitors and VIPs and that proper traffic management be ensured. Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Sheikh Tanveer Asif, DCP (Law and Order) R.N. Bindumani, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shivashankar, and Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Vinod Chandra were among those present at the meeting.
