Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Sharaf Group Vice-Chairman Sharafuddin Sharaf in Dubai on Wednesday and discussed investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Naidu highlighted the State’s infrastructure, availability of skilled human resources, and other conditions that suit businesses. Sharaf Group is a leading business conglomerate with interests in logistics, retail, real estate, and IT. Mr. Naidu requested Mr. Sharaf to support A.P. in the development of logistics parks and warehouses and invest in the areas of mutual interest. Mr. Sharaf expressed willingness to invest in logistics and warehouses in A.P. through its subsidiary Hind Terminals Private Limited. He sought a good location for it with superior railway and port connectivity. Later, Mr. Naidu also held discussions with Transworld Group Chairman Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan and explained the investment opportunities in the shipbuilding sector. The group came forward to partner with the A.P. government in setting up a shipbuilding unit at Dugarajapatnam. The Chief Minister also had discussions with Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, which has expertise in medical and health research and is running a cancer hospital in Abu Dhabi. The company offered to set up cancer centre in Tirupati.
