A club insider has described one Chelsea player as a beast of a competitor this week and a natural born winner. Those are some pretty big compliments, especially when they are coming from a club insider, someone who is around said player every day and sees how they operate. Nope, we aren’t talking about Moises Caicedo for once, we are in fact talking about club captain, Reece James. James has been enjoying some rare sustained time of 100% fitness and avoiding any injuries, which is something that Chelsea fans have been praying for for some time now. Finally, it looks like he might be on top of his regular injury issues, at least for now. But James is a super important player for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea, and not only has he turned into a real leader on the pitch, he is also a leader off it and his quality as a player has also just got better and better. Reece the beast In a report from The Daily Mail today, one Chelsea insider described Reece James to them as a ‘beast’ as a competitor. They see him as a winner who, when the time calls for it, will show his passion either on the pitch or in the changing room. Sources within Chelsea say they have seen a positive change in James throughout his period of sustained fitness. There is a newfound confidence and an increasing authority to James which comes with his consistent presence in the changing room at Cobham and Stamford Bridge, per the report.
