CLEVELAND, Ohio — It’s the first weekend of October in Northeast Ohio, which means festive fun is just getting started. The Guardians began a historic playoff run this week while the Cavaliers’ preseason is just getting started.
Live entertainment also isn’t slowing down, from national acts like comedian Nate Bargatze and musicians like T-Pain to local performances like the inaugural All Cleveland Fest. Plus, fall festivals, haunted houses and clambakes are in full swing.

Boo at the Zoo

Rood Presents: Corn Daze
The Roxy at Mahall’s will host Corn Daze, a tasting event hosted by Rood featuring a team of West Side restaurants. Proceeds benefit the ALS Association Northern Ohio chapter. “Sunday in the Park with George”
Great Lakes Theater is kicking off its 64th season with its current run of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park with George.” The show enters on French impressionist Georges Seurat, about whom little is known, as he creates his masterpiece, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” — a painting perhaps best known for its appearance in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Tickets are $18-$119.
