Clean Coach, Dirty Track? Housekeeping Staff Throws Garbage From Moving Train: ‘Harsh Reality Of Indian Railways’ | Video

Train journeys are no doubt fun when travelling with friends and family. The endless chatter and the ever-changing landscapes outside make the ride as memorable as the destination itself. But perhaps one of the biggest turn-offs is the uncleanness. It doesn’t matter if you are travelling in 2AC, 3AC, or sleeper class; the problem persists everywhere. From stained windows to overflowing bins, the sight can sometimes ruin the charm of an otherwise scenic ride. But what if the people responsible for maintaining the coaches’ cleanliness are the ones responsible for contributing to the mess? Recently, a video has surfaced on social media, showcasing a similar distressing event. OBHS Tosses Garbage From Moving Train The clip, recorded by a passenger, captured the On Board Housekeeping Service (OBHS) staff member casually throwing away garbage on the tracks, out of a moving train. After that, the employee casually replaced the trash bin with another plastic bag, seemingly indifferent to the environmental damage caused. The camera then panned to the passenger, who exhibited a disappointed expression. Our civic sense is still in 1925,” pointed out another. “Every time you throw garbage on railway lines, remember — someone has to risk their life cleaning it. Respect their work. Keep our railways clean,” highlighted an individual. “What is Rail Seva doing? Your worker is ripping garbage bags from the train dustbin and chucking them straight out the door of a moving train! This is disgusting, illegal, and destroys our country,” commented one person sternly. “The harsh reality of Indian Railways: Overcrowded coaches, endless delays, waiting list anxiety, and platform chaos. Millions travel, few are comfortable. It works… but it shouldn’t feel like survival,” read an honest remark. What are your thoughts on this?
