RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M),, who is on an official visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces. During the meeting, both sides discussed evolving global and regional environment and avenues for enhancing bilateral defence cooperation, said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here Sunday. In recognition of his significant contributions in deepening Pakistan-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia relationship in particular the military to military ties, the CJCSC was conferred with the “King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class.” The Saudi military leadership lauded professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in fight against terrorism.
