News release Residents are invited to volunteer for the city of Santa Clarita’s 4th Annual Graffiti Removal Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Soledad Canyon Road and Camp Plenty Road. Volunteers will get the opportunity to work with the city’s Graffiti Removal Team and help beautify the city. Those interested in participating are asked to register in advance at SantaClaritaVolunteers.com, as there is limited space available. In 2024, the Graffiti Removal Team completed over 16,000 tag removals and nearly 70 beautification projects throughout Santa Clarita, according to a news release from the city. This year, the team has already removed 14,196 tags and completed 97 beautifications, the release said. Since 2015, the Graffiti Removal Team has maintained a 24-hour response rate, 99% of the time. As part of the Santa Clarita 2025 Strategic Plan, the Graffiti Removal Team is tasked with administering a robust program to residents that includes education through outreach efforts. During this event, volunteers will learn more about graffiti vandalism, types of removals and will have the opportunity to complete a large-scale beautification project. Volunteers will be using different pieces of painting equipment and should wear closed-toe shoes in addition to clothing that they do not mind getting paint on.
