Christian Horner to Ferrari? Fans React After $100 Million Red Bull Exit

Following the announcement of former Red Bull Racing team principal and CEO Christian Horner’s official exit today, after a reported $100 million settlement, fans have reacted to the news, with many linking him to a move to Ferrari in the future.
Horner’s abrupt Red Bull ouster raised many questions, given his successful 20-year stint that began in 2005. He was reportedly slated to stay with the team until at least 2030.
Horner’s exit was announced after the British GP, relieving him from his F1 duties, and in August, Red Bull removed him from its records as a director. Now though, after the monetary settlement, Horner is no longer a part of Red Bull Racing.
Fans have reacted to his official departure from the team, with many considering it to be a repeat announcement. Others hoped to see him in F1 again, while some wrote about Ferrari. Some reactions are below:
This fan summed up Horner’s career in recent years:
“Bye bye, CEO Christian Horner. You did a fantastic job — you challenged Mercedes at their peak and gave the world a chance to witness the brilliance of a driver like Max Verstappen. You are truly a legendary team principal, Horner.”
Will F1 be boring without Horner? This fan thinks so:
“It’s a sad day. We needed someone like a Horner to stir up drama in the paddock. Been quite boring since he left.”
Another fan verdict:
“Despite its ups and downs, he basically did a good job bringing Red Bull to where they are today. So kudos to him, even if he left without honors.”
A fan who needs more clarity:
“I thought he already left, or is there something else.”
Horner for FIA President? A fan speaks about their imagination:
“Just imagine FIA president Christian Horner.”
Horner to Ferrari? Will that be possible?
“I would love to see him at Ferrari next year.”
The Ferrari link did exist in the past:
“Ferrari really missed out on an opportunity to shake up their whole team culture at Maranello by not signing Horner and renewing an out of touch Fred. Hate or love him Horner knows how to win and what it takes to do so and l believe a few people would have followed him to Ferrari.”
