Chrishell Stause admits 'it's really hard' as she confirms Selling Sunset exit

Chrishell Stause has confirmed she will not be returning to Selling Sunset after yet another heated season of the hit show. The 44-year-old star was at the centre of brutal arguments in the most recent series , which dropped on Netflix last month. But just days after the fresh episodes premiered, the actress revealed she is leaving the beloved reality show behind. In a Bustle interview published on November 7, she confessed: "I’ve vacillated back and forth with this decision in the past. "I have to be honest — having come from nothing, it’s really hard to turn something like this down." Despite the producers' efforts to get her back on board, Chrishell has stood her ground because she believes the series is having a negative impact on her mental health. "I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially," she continued. "I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health." While the decision may come as a shock to viewers, Chrishell seems to have come to terms with her exit back in August, while filming the season nine reunion . Guided by presenter Tan France, she aired out her grievances with Nicole Young and Emma Hernan. Nicole had made a 'below the belt' comment about Chrishell's deceased parents during Amanza Smith's Girlsgiving dinner. While Chrishell had clashed with Emma over her on-and-off boyfriend Blake Davis , who Chrishell claims holds controversial views. But as they were filming the season's resolution, Chrishell was already convinced she would 'never have to do this again'. "I think, after so many hours, I felt like, ‘Sit here, get through it. You’re not a quitter, but you never have to do this again,’” she told Bustle. "And I promise you, to your soul, you won’t." She expressed similar feelings to Variety in October, stating: "The reunion was so brutal." "In that moment, I realised I will be done here going forward. I wish everyone the best, but this isn’t the place for me. It felt a little bit like a dog pile," she added. Netflix has yet to confirm if the show will return for a tenth season. Selling Sunset is streaming now on Netflix
