Could the band be a younger, cooler Coldplay? (Picture: gwynethpaltrow/Instagram) Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s son Moses, is taking after his father, as it’s revealed that he’s in a band. The former power couple who ‘consciously uncoupled’ in 2014, are the proud parents to Apple, 21, and Moses, 19. While Apple is taking after her mother and pursuing a career in acting, revealing in April this year that her dream is to become a stage actress, it has now been revealed that another apple hasn’t fallen too far from the tree. Moses Martin, along with bandmates Orlando Wilt and Andrew Suster, are in an indie rock band which has opened for the likes of Australian pop group Royel Otis. Moses appears to be a lead vocalist and guitar player in the band, which was called Dancer until last week, when the trio rebranded and became People I’ve Met. A post from Gwyneth taken after one of his gigs showed the band getting some A-listers in the audience as Moses posed with his mother’s friends, including iconic actress Demi Moore, author Amy Griffin, and actress and socialite Sara Foster. Moses is studying at Brown University in Rhode Island, with Gwyneth previously mentioning how much she misses her only son in a touching birthday tribute. Happy birthday @mosesmartin,” the Oscar winner wrote in a post in April 2025, sharing snaps of a FaceTime call. ‘Honestly, you are a dream come true. You are deeply kind and brilliant. You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college. And today more than ever. Chris went to University College London, where he formed Coldplay with Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. The band signed with Parlophone in 1999 when Chris was around 22 years old, releasing their first hit, Parachutes, a year later in 2000. Their children were born in 2004 and 2006, respectively and have Apple has revealed she wants to be an actress. Speaking to Interview Magazine in April, Apple said: ‘I would love to do theatre because I adore it so much. I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theatre kid.’ She also revealed that she was discouraged from doing anything in the public eye as a child, but her attirde has changed now. ‘I was really discouraged from doing anything in the public eye. Also, I was like, “I don’t think we need another celebrity child in the world.” I just try to do what feels right and block out anything regarding me in the news to the best of my ability. ‘And I’m getting a lot better at being like, “F**k it.” I’m not going to be scared.
