EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - With the fall weather, many of us are looking to cozy up under some blankets with a good book. And for avid readers, there’s an event going on now through Saturday that you don’t want to miss. The 26th annual Chippewa Valley Book Festival! Every day at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, you can find various authors offering presentations, plus hundreds of books for sale. “Book festival week is probably my favorite week of the year. The group of volunteers behind this organization work all year long for this one week, bringing these authors and really showcasing the Chippewa Valley. So it’s so fun to kind of open our audience’s eyes to different genres, and different things that maybe you wouldn’t pick up otherwise,” said Sarah Meeks, the marketing chair at the Chippewa Valley Book Festival. Whether you’re into comic memoirs, gripping fiction, food culture, historical journalism, or heartfelt personal stories, there’s something for every kind of reader. All of the events are free to attend.
