China will soon resume exports of rare earth materials and some other goods after lifting restrictions in the wake of a fruitful meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump. A spokesperson from China’s Ministry of Commerce said that China will suspend the implementation of the relevant export control measures, which were announced on October 9, for one year and will study and refine specific plans. Earlier this month, Beijing announced controls on the export of rare-earth technologies and items, adding to existing regulations in the critical industry.
