(251026) -- WENCHANG, Oct. 26, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Workers work at the construction site of Hainan MPEI University (in preparation) campus project in Wenchang, south China's Hainan Province, Oct. 25, 2025. The buildings of the first phase of the project are under intense construction and are expected to be topped out by the end of January 2026. Independently run by the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI), the university will focus on engineering education and research in key and cutting-edge fields including energy and power, aerospace, information technology, and artificial intelligence, and is committed to building a demonstration platform for educational cooperation and technological innovation between China and Russia.
