The donation, supported by students and residents in China and expedited by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), was received by the commercial entity Medicuba and will subsequently be distributed to various healthcare centers by the Ministry of Public Health. The national coordinator of the CDR, Gerardo Hernandez, emphasized the importance of the contribution, as this type of supply is essential in intensive care units. He also highlighted the speed with which the aid was processed. “What we do is expedite the process so that it is received and enters the country, and reaches its recipient as soon as possible,” he stated.
