A massive game in the battle for the 1-seed in the AFC kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET today in Buffalo, where the Bills (5-2) host the Chiefs (5-3). As you're likely aware, these teams have met almost every year since Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes took the league by storm back in 2018. Mahomes and the Chiefs are just 1-4 in the regular season vs. Buffalo, with a win in 2020 followed by losses during each of the last four regular seasons. But Kansas City has owned this rivalry when it counts, knocking off Allen and the Bills in the '20-21, '21-22, '23-24 and '24-25 playoffs. The 2022-23 campaign ended with a loss to the Bengals, but the Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs by the Chiefs in four of the last five seasons. How To Watch Chiefs vs. Bills Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET TV: CBS Chiefs vs. Bills Betting Odds: Spread, Moneyline, Total Chiefs vs. Bills Injury News, Betting Analysis Latest Kansas City Chiefs Injury News (Sunday, November 2) Kansas City will be missing at least two offensive starters today, as both left tackle Josh Simmons and RB Isiah Pacheco have been ruled out for this matchup. The Chiefs also list star right guard Trey Smith as questionable, while Simmons' backup, Jaylon Moore, is questionable as well. With Smith and Moore healthy, the Chiefs offense should be able to stay on track, but losing either or both could make moving the ball much more difficult for KC than it's been in recent weeks. Defensively, the Chief are as close to 100 percent healthy as any team can ask to be at this point in the season. Latest Buffalo Bills Injury News (Sunday, November 2) The biggest injury concerns for the Bills are on the defensive side of the football, starting up front. DL Ed Oliver is on IR, and starting DT DaQuan Jones has been ruled out for today. Buffalo will get a boost from linebacker Matt Milano's return, but the D-line is a long way from full strength with Oliver and Jones out of the mix. Another key name on the injury report is cornerback Taron Johnson (questionable). His potential absence would be a big blow against a suddenly deep group of Kansas City receivers flanking tight end Travis Kelce. Chiefs vs. Bills Prediction, Best Bets I'm not exactly itching to bet against Allen and the Bills at home, but I think today's matchup is going to be a tough one for Buffalo. Kansas City has played better offensively over the last few weeks than it has in years, as WRs Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy have provided everything the Chiefs hoped they would while those two missed time early this season. On defense, Kansas City has not been as stout as it was in either 2023 or 2024, but this unit has played well against the run in recent weeks (just ask Jahmyr Gibbs, Ashton Jeanty and Jacory Croskey-Merritt). As long as the Chiefs can keep James Cook and the Buffalo running game in check, I don't expect Buffalo's receivers to do a ton of damage, as that group has struggled all year. Oddsmakers are certainly giving Kansas City a ton of respect, especially given its underwhelming 5-3 record, but right now, I'd take the Chiefs to cover a field goal against just about anyone -- yes, even the reigning MVP on his home field.
