Patrick Mahomes was put on the injury report in Week 3 and Week 4 after the quarterback injured his right wrist in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The issue didn’t appear to bother Mahomes much, as he threw for 224 yards and one touchdown to beat the New York Giants in Week 3 and threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 37-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The Chiefs released their first injury report for Week 5 on Thursday as the team prepares to travel to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on “Monday Night Football.” Mahomes no longer has the wrist issue, but Kansas City placed him on the report for having a groin injury.

The good news for the Chiefs is that Mahomes was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, a good sign that the All-Pro will be available to play on Monday night. However, the injury will be one to keep an eye on, as a groin issue could cause mobility problems for the quarterback.
Mahomes did have good news on the injury report. Receivers Hollywood Brown (ankle), Xavier Worthy (shoulder), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) were all full participants on Thursday.
The Chiefs enter the contest looking to go above .500 for the first time this season after playing a tough schedule in September. The 3-1 Jaguars promise to be a challenge for the defending AFC champions on Monday night, as they came out of the first month of the season tied with the Indianapolis Colts for the lead in the AFC South.
