Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Announces Big News Away From NFL

Last year, the Texas Tech Red Raiders — the alma mater of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — began a 10-year partnership with Adidas, the same company that has had Mahomes as one of its premier athletes since he signed with the brand in 2017 as a rookie with the Chiefs. On Saturday, while in Lubbock, Texas, for "College GameDay" and the massive showdown between the No. 7 BYU Cougars and No. 8 Texas Tech, Mahomes made a major announcement with Adidas as they officially launched the second “Team Mahomes” NIL class. As part of the initiative, five Texas Tech athletes are featured: returning members softball star NiJaree Canady and soccer standout Sam Courtwright, along with newcomers quarterback Behren Morton, basketball star Christian Anderson, and track athlete Malachi Snow.
