Chicago Bulls Legend Announces Move Close to Basketball

The Chicago Bulls are one of the most storied franchises in NBA history. The team won two three-peats behind Michael Jordan’s leadership back in the ’90s, establishing themselves as one of the greatest dynasties in the sport. Chicago’s six championships from 1991-1993 and 1996-1998 remain the only titles in the franchise’s history, but those runs are still remembered today as some of the best moments in the game. Horace Grant was a member of the Bulls during their first three-peat run. He was drafted by Chicago in 1987 and played for the team until the 1993-94 season, averaging 12.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in his seven years with the team. Now, more than two decades after his fabled run with the Bulls and retirement, Grant remains deeply involved in the game. In fact, on Tuesday, he announced a new project that is connected to his time with Chicago and NBA career. In a press release sent to Athlon Sports, Grant revealed that he’s working on a television series titled “Legends in Session with Horace Grant.” The series, which will premiere in Chicago where it will also be filmed, is set to feature 13 one-hour episodes in its first season. “There are so many stories we’ve never had the chance to tell and this show will allow us to celebrate what we’ve lived through, to give back while we do it, and to inspire the next generation to build on what we started,” Grant stated. “At its heart, Legends in Session is more than a talk show—it’s a movement that bridges sports, storytelling and service.” What makes the series unique is that each episode will be like an NBA game where there’s a “pregame, tipoff, four quarters, halftime and postgame.” The guests of the series will also give back by signing two pieces of memorabilia that will be auctioned off for charity throughout the series. Among the expected guests include Scottie Pippen, Stacey King, BJ Armstrong, Vernon Maxwell, Charles Oakley, Gary Payton and Penny Hardaway. There’s no specific release date for the series, but it is expected to come out in mid-2026. Grant’s announcement comes ahead of his induction into the Bulls’ Ring of Honor, which is scheduled for Nov. 22.
