Cheryl Hines said she is no longer close with her “Curb Your Enthusiasm” co-star Larry David after the actress went full “MAGA.” “Well, I haven’t talked to him in a while,” Hines, who played David’s wife for all 12 seasons of the hit HBO Max show, said on the “Hot Mics with Billy Bush” podcast Monday. The “Suburgatory” alum, 68, said she and the comedian, 78, “probably” haven’t communicated since an event they went to for the Season 12 finale last year. “I love Larry, and I think Larry loves me,” she shared. “I think it’s just politics, it makes conversations.” Page Six has reached out to David’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back. On Wednesday, the Daily Mail reported that Hines’ Hollywood friends are stunned by the actress’s transformation from liberal to conservative “MAGA” views. “It’s so hard to make sense in my head because she was so liberal before,” a longtime Hollywood pal of Hines, who is married to US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., reportedly told the outlet. “And now, she’s married to a member of the Trump administration and she’s literally defending his ridiculous s–t on ‘The View,’” they added. Hines’ friends are said to be appalled that she’s “gone MAGA” after years of being a longtime Democrat. Insiders close to the “RV” star said her switch up to becoming a fully supportive wife after publicly distancing herself from Kennedy’s controversial views is “beyond comprehension.” In August, the Daily Mail reported that Hines had been “iced out” of David’s new HBO show — which will be produced by Michelle and Barack Obama. The series will feature six half-hour episodes and many of the stars from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” are expected to reunite on set. However, the outlet reported that the Obamas are “vehemently opposed” to Hines being a part of the project due to her political alliances with Kennedy and President Donald Trump. A source said Hines is now facing “the cancel culture wrath of her beloved Hollywood at the highest level of progressive political power.” “The Obamas are adamant that anyone politically connected to Trump – who they despise – should not have a role in any of their lucrative media projects,” a well-connected source told the Daily Mail. “That clearly would include Cheryl. Worse for her in the Obamas’ eyes — and Larry’s, too — she dropped her affiliation with the Democrat Party and calls herself an Independent and has an amicable friendship with Donald Trump.”
