Over the past week, more than 900,000 items sold by popular online retailer, Amazon, have been recalled. Product risks vary from death and choking hazards to suffocation and flash fires. Here’s what to know about each recall, and what to do if you have an affected product. More than 800K+ Peletons recalled due to fall and injury hazards More than 800,000 Peloton Original Series Bike+ Model PL02 units are being recalled for a fall and injury hazard. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall for 833,000 bikes sold online by several major retailers including Amazon, onepeloton.com, EBay and Dickssportinggoods.com between January 2020 through April 2025. “The bike’s seat post assembly can break during use, posing fall and injury hazards to the user,” the recall warns. “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes and contact Peloton for a free repair. Peloton is offering consumers a free seat post that can be self-installed.” Read more: Nationwide recall: 64K+ toys sold on Amazon pulled for deadly hazard, return ASAP Two injuries have been reported to date, and three incidents of the seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use have been reported. The recall includes Peloton Original Series Bike+ units, with model number PL02 and serial numbers with “T” as the beginning letter. Plush alpaca toys recalled due to risk of serious injury or death, choking hazard Approximately 64,000 plush alpaca toys sold on Amazon are being recalled for posing a choking risk. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on Nov. 6, of Inkari alpaca toys after federal regulators determined the eyes can detach and create a choking hazard for young children. The recall notes that the wool stuffed toys are marketed to children under age 3 and violate federal small parts regulations. As of Nov. 11, no injuries related to the recall have been reported. Read more: Deadly bed rails still sold after death; seller resists recall, agency warns Five collections of the plush toys are included in the recall: naturals, baristas, rainbow, monsterfluffs, and limited edition. The toys were sold in multiple colors and four sizes, from a 6-inch mini version to a 19-inch large version. Each toy has a label reading “INKARI” attached to its underside. The alpaca toys were sold at specialty stores across the country and online through Amazon.com, Etsy.com, and Inkari-alpaca.com between November 2020 and July 2025. Baby swings recalled due to risk of serious injury from suffocation hazard The CPSC issued a recall of more than 1,000 Saven Technology Vaven Baby Swings as the design violates mandatory standards for infant sleep products and included sleepers. “The swings were marketed for infant sleep and have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, violating the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products and the ban on inclined sleepers under the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, posing a deadly suffocation risk," the Nov. 6 recall states. Products included in the recall are white and gray or black and gray and the base structure includes the “VEVOR” trademark. They are labeled on the bottom or back of the base with “Multi-Function Electric Swing” and the model number. White and gray swings have the model number BB501K while the white and gray swings have model number BB702A. The public is advised to stop using the swings and contact Saven Technology for a full refund. No incidents have been reported as of Nov. 11. DIY liquid bioethanol fireplace fuel containers recalled due to risk of serious injury or death from flash fire Approximately 14,000 units of Y’all Can DIY Liquid Bioethanol Fireplace Fuel Containers are being recalled for “posing a deadly risk of flash fire.” “The recalled fuel containers violate the mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, posing a deadly risk of flash fire,” the recall warns. The product comes in a clear bottle with a black top and a white and black label with orange and white lettering and has the brand name and product name in white and orange along with “No Soot”, “No Ash”, and “Clean Burning” printed on a label on the front and hazard warnings printed on the side. No injuries have been reported to date. The CPSC advises the public to stop using the product immediately, place them out of reach of children and contact Astemrey, the retailer, to receive free replacement container of fuel. Only products manufactured and sold after Jan. 12, 2025, are included in the recall.
