WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair has spoken out after her live on-air wardrobe malfunction that led to producers taking drastic action during a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown. That incident occurred during a seemingly routine singles match between the 39-year-old and her opponent, former WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax, which had bosses at the wrestling promotion scrambling to halt images being transmitted, with her attire coming out of place on more than one occasion. Thanks in part to quick thinking from those behind the camera, who cut to black to avoid the malfunction from being seen by audiences at home, the current WWE Women's Tag Team belt holder, alongside Alexa Bliss, was able to avoid an embarrassing incident from escalating further and being shown live. Speculation had been rampant about the real reason behind the sudden cut to black, with many fans suggesting that a clothing mishap was high on the list of possibilities. This was all but confirmed by Flair herself when she responded to a fan's post following the 7th of November edition of the show on social media, cheekily saying: "I'm going to start wrestling in robes." A 14-time Women's World Champion, the Figure-Eight Leglock provider has been an integral part of the women's division since signing for WWE back in 2012, making her first main roster appearance in 2015, following in the wrestling footsteps of her legendary father, Ric Flair. The SmackDown mainstay was eventually defeated by Jax by way of pinfall during the 7th of November match-up at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Charlotte Flair on Her Future in WWE Speaking about what she envisions her role in WWE will look like in the future, Charlotte, real name Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, spoke candidly to People about where she would like to go next in the wrestling business. “I think I will tap more into that and kind of try to bring me — Ashley, the real person — to Charlotte, because I do feel like Charlotte really isn’t… the character I made is not relatable.
