One of Bermuda cricket’s most loved officials, Charlotte “Molly” Simons, has been presented with the Long Service Award by the Bermuda Cricket Board. At an awards ceremony last weekend, the BCB honoured Simons, with president Lloyd Smith on hand to present the award. “Molly is a cherished and respected figure in Bermuda’s cricket community, has served the sport with distinction for decades and is known for her unwavering dedication, warm spirit, and tireless support of players, officials and fans alike,” Smith said. “Her contributions have helped shape the foundation of cricket in Bermuda, and her legacy continues to inspire future generations.” The BCB also celebrated the outstanding achievements of players, clubs, coaches, officials, and contributors throughout the 2025 domestic cricket season. The event highlighted excellence across both the 50 over and T20 formats, with a keynote address by David Horan, principal of Warwick Academy. In his speech he emphasised the importance of character development, discipline, and academic support in nurturing young athletes and praised the cricket community for its role in building resilient, well-rounded individuals. Southampton Rangers Sports Club dominated the First Division awards, earning multiple team and individual honours, including MVP Dion Stovell’s exceptional performances. In the Premier Division, St George’s Cricket Club and St David’s County Cricket Club were celebrated for their achievements, with Kevon Fubler of St David’s named Premier Division MVP for his outstanding season.
