A 2017 post by Charlie Kirk criticising Jimmy Kimmel has resurfaced after ABC suspended the host indefinitely over remarks about the slain Turning Point USA founder. At the time, Kirk wrote, “Jimmy Kimmel isn’t funny.” Supporters of Kirk are flocking to the old post, declaring that the late activist has “won.” Another person wrote, “Total victory.” Another wrote, “And now he isn’t employed, king… now he isn’t employed.” A third user remarked, “Still winning from above.” A user wrote, “Doing the Lord’s work from beyond. We miss you already Charlie.” Benny Johnson, a Conservative podcaster, shared Kirk’s post, writing, “We did it for you, Charlie. And we’re just getting started.” Kimmel was removed from the air after remarks he made about Kirk during his Monday night monologue. Referring to Tyler Robinson, Kimmel said, “The MAGA gang is desperately trying to portray the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of their own, while doing everything possible to score political points from it.” Jimmy Kimmel Taken Off Air Kimmel was removed from the air after remarks he made about Kirk during his Monday night monologue. Referring to Tyler Robinson, Kimmel said, “The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.” Kimmel also questioned the choice to fly flags at half-mast for Kirk and mocked President Donald Trump’s response to the killing. “This isn’t how an adult grieves a friend’s murder – this is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish,” he said, taking a jab at Trump. Meanwhile, the company, in a statement, said, “Nexstar’s owned and partner television station affiliated with th ABC Television Network will preempt Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! for the foreseeable future, beginning with tonight’s show.
