Charlie Kirk reax made headlines in Winston, Greensboro NC

News surrounding slain conservative political activist Charlie Kirk made headlines across the nation, as well as in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, during the past two weeks.
Here’s a look at some of the local stories that arose following his death.
A memorial service was held on the campus of UNC Greensboro:
U.S. Rep. Addison McDowell said Americans need to “call out this radical, leftist ideology that wants to kill people.”
A former Wake Forest University shared her story after the ACC school cut ties with her over a controversial post about Kirk:
Guilford Tech condemned comments a part-time faculty member made in her class about Charlie Kirk’s death, and the part-time professor was fired for the remarks:
The school said the professor’s “behavior is not consistent with the college’s values and mission to serve Guilford County,” GTCC President Anthony Clarke said. The professor has been identified as Lisa Greenlee.
A Randolph County teacher resigned following a social media post about Kirk’s death:
Several people who said they are Varner’s students, posted remarks defending her right to post views some might deem unfavorable characterizations of Kirk.
