I don't know about you, but we are always curious what the industry pros are up to in Charleston. Our city offers an endless array of concerts, exhibitions and culinary experiences, so it's nice to get tips on where to go and what to see from a Charlestonian in-the-know. For this column, we're taking a look at what locals have been up to lately — recent events they've attended, movies they've seen, meals they've eaten, concerts they've loved and more entertainment-related experiences they've had. This week we hear from Anna Stare, founder and CEO of Stareworthy Custom Children’s Books, a Charleston-based company turning treasured family photos into meaningful keepsake books where your loved ones are the star of the story. Here's what she's been enjoying lately. What is the best album or music artist you’ve listened to? I’ve really been into ZZ Ward’s latest blues record, "Liberation." She is super talented, and I love how her music blends styles between blues, rock and a touch of hip-hop. What’s the best movie you’ve seen? I always go back to "The Lord of the Rings." Every year around the holidays I watch the trilogy. It’s been my tradition since I was 12 years old, and there’s something so special about reliving it during that magical time of year. What was the best Charleston performance you’ve attended? I recently saw Clutch at the Charleston Music Hall and absolutely loved it. Their shows are always raw, punchy and, of course, fun! A perfect fit for the Music Hall, which is a venue I love.
