Charlamagne Tha God brought former President Barack Obama into things during a ruthless takedown of Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies. The radio host made his brutal comment while guest-hosting “The Daily Show.” After playing a clip of Jeffries (D-N.Y.) referring to Republicans as “the party of lawlessness and disorder,” the radio host dropped the hammer, per HuffPost. “So why is Hakeem Jeffries talking like he’s Chuck E. Cheese Obama? Like, what are we doing? What are we doing? Come on, man. Come on,” he said. Charlamagne continued, “Clearly, the Democrats don’t have the leaders they need to meet the moment. OK, fine. Anyone who was a fan of sports knows, sometimes, you need a rebuilding year. OK, get some draft picks, develop young talent. And at some point, the old guys need to retire.” He went on to say that the Democrats should be focused on “picking exciting new candidates.” Charlamagne then played footage of 77-year-old Democratic Gov. Janet Mills of Maine, who was “heavily recruited” by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to run for Senate. Mills would become the oldest freshman senator in U.S. history if she’s elected. Charlamagne said: “This is the new candidate, OK? She shouldn’t be running for Senate. She should be throwing her Titanic necklace back into the ocean.” He also slammed Schumer for failing to endorse New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, saying that somebody needed to “go reboot” the senior senator from New York. Charlamagne also slammed the Dems for allowing President Joe Biden to stay in last year’s White House race following Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Republican Donald Trump. “That’s not the kind of leadership we’re looking for, OK?” Charlamagne said. “These are the same Democratic leaders that shove their s----y candidates down our throats and say we have to support them because it’s vote blue no matter who. Hell, you did it after Joe Biden s--t the bed in the debate.”
