Chargers OT Joe Alt Carted Off Field With Gruesome Injury vs Titans

Quarterback Justin Herbert is the most important part of the Los Angeles Chargers offense, and left tackle Joe Alt is a close No. 2. While the Chargers have been fortunate that Herbert hasn’t missed any time this season, the same can’t be said of Alt. The former fifth overall pick started all 16 games he played in as a rookie, but he’s already missed four three games earlier this season with an ankle sprain, and on Sunday he was carted off the field minutes before halftime after suffering another ankle injury. The incident happened when a Titans defender fell on Alt’s right leg as he fell backward and crumpled to the turf. #JoeAlt LT @chargers Rolled up on right sideRecent right ankle issuesCarted offMore OL issues again for Harbaugh pic.twitter.com/K8t9fxQ0bt— David J. Chao – ProFootballDoc (@ProFootballDoc) November 2, 2025 The 22-year-old Alt couldn’t put any weight on his leg and had to be carted off the field. Losing Alt is a gut-punch to the Chargers offense that already lost All-Pro left tackle Rashawn Slater for the season to a torn patellar tendon back in August. Los Angeles is 4-1 with Alt in the lineup this season and just 1-2 without him. The CBS Sports broadcast reported right before halftime that Alt was questionable to return with an ankle injury. This is a developing story and more updates will be provided as they become available.
