The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch), Kofi Asare, has encouraged parents to channel the same energy they have invested in fighting over haircuts in Senior High Schools into the issue of scarcity of textbooks. According to him, the disturbingly scarce supply of textbooks for educational purposes has persisted for about four years without any agitation or opposition from parents. Watching the ongoing debate over hairstyle and haircut, he took to Facebook to lament, describing the situation as “truly a sad case”. He believes that with the same measure of energy, a positive change will happen, which will impact teaching and learning in the various schools. “Listening to the radio.
