Chanel has a double launch in the autumn. The designer brand brings out its festive makeup collection, along with its fragrance and gifts for Christmas. The year's line-up includes chic makeup and nail polishes (all limited-edition) in the Winter Constellation collection, and everyone's favourite scents have been given a very festive makeover with new sleeves and special wrapping. In this year's limited-edition wrapping service, there are five Enchanted Symbols that are tied to each gift you buy. These are symbols with meaning to Coco Chanel, and they feature heavily throughout Chanel's design process. These are collectable pieces, and people always add to their collections when these launch. This year's are the lion, camellia, comet, wheat and pearls, and you get to choose your favourite. Chanel Holiday Collection Everyone has a favourite scent at Chanel. There are No5 diehard fans, while others love their Coco Mademoiselle or Chance fragrance. These are all in the Christmas collection, as is Bleu de Chanel for men—the latest being L'Exclusif, which we saw exclusively in July with Chanel perfumer Olivier Polge before its launch in the autumn. Any of these scents wrapped in the brand's Christmas paper with one of the symbols attached is sure to be a covetable gift this year. Holiday Makeup Chanel's Winter Constellation makeup collection is very elegant and wearable. It includes the new Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette in the colourway, Nuit Astrale, a harmony of cosmic shades, €68. Two new face colour palettes are also in there. The blush and highlighter compacts come in peach and rose, and cost €70 each. For the lips, there are two new shades of Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick. Abstrait is a gorgeous nude pink, and Rouge Vie is a true blue red that would look great at everything over Christmas, €53 each. Eyes & Nails If shine and gloss are more your thing, the new Rouge Allure Lacque lip colour in Incandescent and Nebuleuse are worth checking out, €50 each. For eyes, Chanel's Noir Allure Mascara in Anthracite will make blue eyes pop, €50, and the metallic liquid liners in Flamboyant (hot orange) and Ecarlate (a striking red), will make heads turn, €43. Finally, Chanel's new limited-edition nail polishes are always popular and sell out quickly. This year's Christmas shades are Cosmique, a slate blue, and Alchimiste, a hot, metal orange, €33. Top of our wishlist are the fragrances on a chain: €190 for three 7ml vials of No5 or Coco Mademoiselle, which come with the cutest travel case, emblem, and chain, up top.
