Efficient military units with healthy, fit and courageous soldiers
In his speech, the Senior General said the main duty of Tatmadaw is national defence that involves the duty to safeguard the lives and property of the people, natural resources of the country and Our Three Main National Causes. In order to shoulder the duty well, every soldier and unit must have full fighting ability and prowess. All soldiers joined the Tatmadaw of their own volition. Rank-wise and area-wise military training sessions are being conducted for every soldier to have the required qualifications.
To be fit and healthy, Tatma-dawmen must carry out the daily responsibilities without fail. Likewise, they must also undergo rank-wise training.
Individual soldiers need valour, courage to do what is to be done. Tatmadaw members joined the Tatmadaw to enjoy the life of a soldier. They need will and determination. In order to be skilled in handling their weapons, they must undergo constant training. In this way, they will have trust in their weapons. Hence, training sessions are being conducted for all the Tatmadaw men to be well train-ed. By applying their learned military science in their daily functions, all will become well-trained soldiers.
Four major tasks for developing unit structure
Four work programs have been adopted for structural development. Shouldering the daily duties in a correct way amounts to conducting structural development through training.
The sector of administration includes dress codes, and behavioral codes, and a unit will have ability and power only if its administrative system is good. Responsible persons are guiding the units with administrative functions, and the subordinates must observe them with individual conviction. Excellent administration and support are very much important for battle victory.
For the welfare of families, carrying out agriculture and livestock breeding tasks can contribute to food supplies of families. Refraining from drinking alcohol and enjoying worldly pleasures out of conscientious-ness can help individuals to be fit and healthy personnel. Only then, will one be able to perform national defence duties fully. Each and every individual is required to carry out duties out of conscientiousness.
By taking measures for good governance and welfare, the morale of personnel will be higher and thus emphasis must be placed on four primary building duties of the Tatmadaw.
Promoting education and nurturing good personnel
In connection with the education of Tatmadaw families, personnel are required to nurture their children to be educated ones. Efforts must be made to enable them to pass at least middle school and to continue to study at agriculture and live-stock breeding high schools. As efforts are made for higher education standards of their children, personnel are required to read books consistently. Reading articles on health, education, agriculture and live-stock breeding and knowledge sharing and discussions will lead to physical and mental development of individual personnel. As today is the age of media, individual personnel are required to use social media networks conscientiously to prevent actions that can harm oneself and one’s organization and responsible officers are re-quired to supervise personnel.
Measures must be taken to improve defence capabilities to protect the country. Personnel are urged to make concerted efforts to build themselves as good personnel to make progress for the country and the Tatmadaw and to leave a good reputation for the Tatmadaw.
