CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC (formerly CFAO Ghana PLC) has renewed its commitment to support the government’s development agenda by championing innovation and sustainability in the automotive sector. Speaking to journalists during a facility tour of the company at Airport and Tema last Wednesday, the Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC, Adedamola Adelabu, explained that in line with the company’s vision to become a comprehensive mobility solutions provider in the country, CFAO had transitioned from a traditional automobile distributor to a holistic mobility solutions company. The evolution of strategies, he said, was to meet the changing landscape of the automotive industry, while supporting government’s “Big Push” economic agenda, aimed at enhancing the country’s automobile ecosystem and infrastructure. “Our goal is to provide access, convenience and efficiency in mobility for all Ghanaians,” he stated. Touching on services being offered by CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC, Mr Adelabu said the company had recently launched the Lovol heavy machinery line and opened a state-of-the-art service centre in Accra. We provide financing options in partnership with reputable banks, allowing customers to trade in their old vehicles and acquire new ones,” he stated. Sustainability On sustainability, Mr Adelabu explained that the company had made significant investments in solar energy to reduce its carbon footprint, with installations at its Accra and Tema facilities. “By reducing our dependence on the grid, we are not only promoting sustainability but also contributing to the energy landscape in Ghana,” he said. Mr Adelabu also noted that CFAO had engaged in various initiatives, including health screening for market women and donated educational materials to local schools, efforts he said underscored the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operated. Way forward The CFAO Mobility Ghana MD expressed optimism about entering the electric vehicle (EV) market, adding that ongoing discussions with government officials to create a more favourable duty regime for EVs in Ghana, he said. The Aftersales General Manager, Dr Adam Tettey Larbie, said CFAO Mobility Ghana remained dedicated to providing exceptional mobility solutions, while fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity and community engagement, noting, that with service centres located in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, the company was expanding its reach, with plans for additional service outlets in Tarkwa, Ho and Tamale by the end of the year. Human capital development The Human Resource Director at CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC, Anita Arthur, added that the company had currently employed 247 staff members, with a strong emphasis on training graduates from polytechnics and universities through CFAO’s graduate training programme. “By equipping our staff with the necessary skills and knowledge, we ensure excellent service delivery to our clients, whilst collaborates with technical schools to provide apprenticeship opportunities for students who may not have access to tertiary education,” she added. The Director of Operations for Equipment at the Tema branch, Yanick Camerman, underscored CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC’s dedication to exceptional aftersales service as a cornerstone of their business model. “We are now able to offer a complete range of products from premium to mass-market vehicles, meeting diverse customer needs,” highlighted the company’s pivot from primarily premium brands to incorporating Chinese brands, such as Shaqman trucks, and the Lovol excavators. The CFAO Mobility Ghana Manager in charge of Machines, Victor Osei Owusu, stated that company’s recent launch of Lovol machinery, which included excavators, graders and wheelers, was strategically aimed at meeting the growing demands for affordable, high-quality equipment in the construction and mining sectors.
