    Cement maker hails GST cut, assures to pass benefit to users

    Bharathi Cement, a subsidiary of Vicat France, on Wednesday said the full benefit of the reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be passed on to all the customers and business associates.

    “Our invoices will reflect GST change from existing 28% to 18% for the cement sales across all India and reduction of MRP of cement bags with effect from September 22,” director-marketing Ravinder Reddy said in a release.

    Bharathi Cement welcomes the decision to reduce GST on cement and thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman for the measure that will directly benefit millions of home builders, infrastructure developers and ordinary citizens of India.

    “We have already advised all our dealers and channel partners to reduce the cement prices and pass on full benefits to all our customers,” he said.
