Celtic v the Rangers cup semi-final date and ticket prices confirmed

Both semi-finals will be played at Hampden Park and will be shown exclusively live on Premier Sports, with a place in the final on Sunday 14 December at stake.
First up is Motherwell versus St Mirren which will kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday 1 November. Then it’s the Glasgow Derby semi-final as Celtic take on theRangers in a re-run of the first ever meeting between the two clubs back in the 2015 semi-final which Celtic won 2-0 through goals from Leigh Griffiths and Kris Commons. That was the time theRangers released a commemorative t-shirt to mark their first ever Hampden semi-final. Bless them.
The Celtic versus theRangers semi-final will kick-off at around 2pm on Sunday 2 November with a thousand empty seats (500 each) due to pyros being set off at previous matches at Hampden that caused delays to the kick-off time.
This is also a repeat of last year’s Premier Sports Cup final which Celtic won on penalties after the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
Adult tickets will be available at £30 and £36, with concession tickets – which are defined as under 16s and 65 and over – priced at £15 and £19. SPFL group chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “We are delighted to announce the match details for the semi-finals – which will be broadcast live on Premier Sports – and are pleased to confirm that the price for the majority of general admission tickets has been frozen from last year.
“We very much look forward to welcoming all four semi-finalists to Hampden Park for what promises to be a great weekend of football.”
Celtic supporters will be split across the North, South and East Stands for the 2.00pm kick-off on Sunday 2 November, while (the)Rangers fans will be housed in the North, South and West Stands. (Celtic and theRangers ends as per usual).
As previously announced, both Celtic and (the)Rangers have had their ticket allocations reduced by 500 tickets each as a result of large-scale, organised pyrotechnic activity at last season’s Premier Sports Cup semi-finals and final. Supporters are reminded that a repeat of such activity will result in an automatic reduction of 800 tickets for their club’s next SPFL match at Hampden Park.
Tickets will be issued in digital format through the Hampden Park app, with full pricing details for both semi-finals set out below. The competing clubs will announce ticket sale information via their own channels in due course.
