Celtic slumped eight points behind league leaders Hearts - and the blame game is ramping up. The board had been subject of finger pointing from the raging Parkhead diehards - but after the 3-1 loss to Derek McInnes' Premiership leaders, Brendan Rodgers is now getting it in the neck. David Bryce, Troon, unleashed on the players and the boss, sayin: "Eleven cowards pretending to be Celtic players! What a disgraceful performance. Arne Engels is absolutely hopeless as is Reo Hatate, and my goodness Dane Murray is absolutely miles short. We are in huge trouble. The hapless board need to sack Brendan Rodgers now as he is a poor coach and has run out of ideas." Paul McCormack, Coatbridge said: "Not a penny more indeed. For a manager who has wasted tens of millions on players that don't start or don't finish games. He's totally lost focus. Seeing out his contract is his big soundbite. Dermot (Desmond) should take that decision out of his hands now." Gerard Kelly said: "Again, Celtic management need to take full responsibility here and certain players also, get a grip or just go. If you're not fighting for the ball then what's the point. "There is no fight. no desire and that's down to management and players. So, if you don't want to be here then there is the door. Personally, I think Brendan wants to go and is doing this to be sacked. If that is the case then get him out the door. Steve McSherry, Uddingston said: "After yet another dismal performance from Celtic, it would now be no surprise if Rangers beat us next week. We score an own goal and give away a penalty in a game that we should have won. That’s 5 goals against and 1 for in the last two league games. We are making this so much harder than it should be." Denis Bruce, Bishopbriggs, had a one liner ready for the under-fire boss: "Hearts' brand new Honda Civic put Celtic's clapped out Honda Civic into the shade." Chris Lowe, Yoker, emailed: "Fantastic performance from Hearts that surely kills the myth that Celtic have players worth £20million. The Honda Civic has broken down on the M8. If it wasn’t for an outrageous 94th minute decision at Kilmarnock they would be 10 clear." Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: "I mentioned earlier on the Hotline that I was apprehensive about travelling through to Tynecastle and my fears were justified. Auston Trusty, a £6million signing, not being brought back to partner Liam Scales was a huge mistake as Dane Murray was as nervous as a kitten throughout and rather than get a response from his players with his disrespectful Honda Civic remarks it had the opposite effect." Eddie Easson, Ballingry said: "I have always been a big supporter of Brendan Rodgers, he said he is to blame too right he is. He threw a young players under a bus. Young Murray, Donovan and Kenny were totally out of their depth experience wise. We had established internationals on the bench and he won’t play them." Billy Barry, Dundee, did offer some form of defence for the struggling Hoops: "As a Celtic fan, first off, I'm going to say that Hearts deserved to win against Celtic. But I think there should be some context here. Remember, four of Celtic's best players weren't playing. Carter-Vickers, Alastair Johnston, Maeda, and Jota were all missing. "Also, the first goal was an own goal, and the third was a penalty. And with Benjamin Nygren's miss just before half-time, the game was summed-up. If Hearts were missing their 4 best players, things could have been different. Everything was stacked against Celtic." Things aren't going to plan at Pittodrie either with Jimmy Thelin facing increased scrutiny after defeat to Hibs on Sunday. Tam Bain, Desborough, emailed: "I believe Aberdeen FC spent more money outwith the Old Firm, and so should have better players than the rest of the league - but were hammered in Europe, are very nearly bottom of the league. "Hearts are going to win the league, so no question it's down to the manager the job is too big for him no idea. He's got to go. C'mon dons fans call him out." There was positive signs for Rangers as Danny Rohl secured his first win since stepping into the hot seat against Kilmarnock. Joe Graham, Garrowhill said: "A Rohl of the dice and the young man's first victory. Let's hope he can keep it going. A suit collar and tie with brown brogues is also in his favour for Rangers tradition. With other results this Sunday we could be fighting Celtic for second spot at least, and who knows with a winning run we are back on track." Peter Cooperwhite added: "I won't get to carried away with the result but take it in and enjoy because for once there was more positives than negatives getting a goal early on but silly stuff again conceding. But, a rare Danilo goal got us back on track then a very rare exceptional goal from Chermiti got us over the line."
