Celebrity Traitors star says two fan favourites 'days are numbered' on BBC series

A Celebrity Traitors star has claimed that two fan favourites on the BBC series’ ‘days are numbered’ following a dramatic week on the Claudia Winkleman series. There’s only nine celebrities left on the show set in the Scottish Highlands, which has proved to be one of the most watched UK programmes of the year to date. The faithfuls haven’t been getting on too well at getting rid of the traitors, with comedian Alan Carr. ITV presenter Jonathan Ross and singer Catt Burns getting away with their mischievous antics in the castle. Wednesday night (October 22), began with the trio deciding to murder Welsh singer Charlotte Church , which still didn’t signal their guilt to the remaining faithfuls. After this, the stars were unable to agree on who to banish for the first time in the series’ history, with Line of Duty’s Mark Bonnar and historian Dave’s Olusoga tied on votes after two rounds of voting at the roundtable. Mark and David were made to pick between two chests in a tense moment as David’s case contained a shield and meant the other went home on Thursday (October 23). Just moments after this, the traitors Alan , Jonathan and Cat had to decide in the turret just who to murder next. After considering Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and Stephen, they decided to murder comedian Joe Wilkinson. Later on in the episode, former rugby player Joe Marler came close to exposing Jonathan as Alan forgot he had a shield and expressed his fears of being murdered. Despite not having that much heat on him, former QI presenter Stephen Fry was sent home after receiving the most votes from the other players. With things continuing to heat up in the castle, Mark appeared on Saturday's (October 25) episode of BBC Breakfast , with hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty, to reveal who he is backing to win. "I don't know but I think at this stage I would say probably... I'll choose one from each camp and it's either Nick or Cat. I think they're both playing a really brilliant game.” Charlie replied: "It's kind of a tricky one now, you know what you're allowed to say and what you're not allowed to say." Looking to find out more about what’s coming next, Naga asked if Mark was holding some secrets back, to which he said ‘you only know up to your involvement’. Despite being unable to figure out who was deceiving him and his fellow faithfuls, Mark revealed that he doesn’t think Jonathan and Alan are going to make it to the end of the series. He explained: “I think Jonathan's days are numbered because Joe has been kind of gunning for him. Even though he goes for him and says 'Jonathan, Jonathan' but ends up voting for something else… “I still think his days are numbered and he knows it as well. Alan has really grown into it, he started off really sweaty but now he is just accusing people left right and centre. “But I think his days might be numbered too because if they don't get him next week, they'll come back to that forgetting he had a shield and that is a big thing. He has forgotten because he doesn't care." The Celebrity Traitors returns on Wednesday, October 29, on BBC One and on the BBC iPlayer at 9pm.
