Kate Garraway has opened up about her recent departure from Celebrity Traitors, taking a playful jab at co-star Tom Daley. Appearing on Good Morning Britain , the presenter expressed her surprise over her exit from the show, hinting at a light-hearted dig at fellow contestant, Tom Daley. She was voted off after receiving the most votes from her peers in the latest episode. Although unaware of the winner, Kate speculated that Alan Carr might be the one to clinch the title. The presenter described her participation in the show as a "complete reset" following years of personal tragedy after the loss of her husband, Derek Draper. "I've been as flabbergasted as anybody else, because you don't see what people are saying about you," she shared with Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray. Kate disclosed that after her first roundtable, her daughter called her, torn between Kate and Niko Omilana, who were both at risk. "Every roundtable, I was always under attack, always under suspicion, so I'm amazed I lasted as long as I did," she admitted, reports the Mirror . Kate added: "I had a bit of fight in me," before Ranvir noted that their colleagues were "proud" of her. Responding to Jonathan Ross's comment about her being "physically weak and intellectually weak," Kate retorted: "He also, by the way, said morally weak – that's why I started laughing. I love Jonathan; he's just so brilliant. Yeah, weak in every sense!" She revealed that the programme was "really intense" and confessed that it must have been "very tough" for the Traitors . "I was completely myself all the way through," she chuckled, continuing: "I thought I want to be a Faithful because then the only thing you have to worry about is you just don't have to lie or deceive. "I'm going to say it again, flabbergasted that they were suspicious of me," she chuckled once more. Kate went on: "I thought I must be the least suspicious person in the world, I felt." Looking back on Thursday's roundtable, Kate said she didn't take the decision to banish her personally. "I'd lived genuine life or death, at the end of the day, this is a game and you know you're not really going to be murdered, life will go on," she said,. The star continued: "I think it's very easy to take it personally because you feel really close really quickly to people in that tight environment. Like I was utterly bereft when Paloma [Faith], you know, was departing so early on because I loved her." Kate's 'flabbergasted' remark seemed to be a dig at her co-star, Tom Daley. The Olympic diver had previously poked fun at Kate for using the word throughout the show. Posting on social media after his elimination, Tom was spotted wheeling his luggage as he joked: "Well, I guess my flabbers were officially gasted". The celebrity was poking fun at himself after becoming convinced Kate was a Traitor because of her over-the-top and theatrical use of the word "flabbergasted", but as Alan highlighted: "You can't just call someone a Traitor because they have a better vocabulary than you".
