The series is set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, November 6 at 8pm. But who is brave enough to take on Celebrity Race Across the World 2025? The first pair stepping up to the challenge are Roman Kemp and his sister, Harleymoon. Best known as a TV and radio host, the 32-year-old is trading his life behind the mic for life on the road, heading on this epic adventure alongside his big sister. Roman, who has been open about his struggles with mental health, saw the challenge as a chance to strengthen his bond with his sister. Speaking about her brother’s experience with anxiety, Harleymoon shared: "Roman has always been a lot more sensitive and serious, as you’ll see more as the episodes go on. Even though he’s younger than me, he’s always had that older brother vibe." She admitted: "If I’m honest, when we were at home, I just thought he was being annoying. But then I realised, okay, this is a real thing, something I need to pay attention to." Reflecting on their time together during the race, Harleymoon added: "What’s amazing about our relationship, especially on the trip, is that you’re in such survival mode that there’s no time to wind each other up or make the usual digs you’d do around the kitchen table. You’ve just got to look after each other." Anita Rani and her father, Bal, are braving the challenge together. The broadcaster and writer, best known for her work on Countryfile and Woman's Hour brought her dad on for the journey because of his adventurous spirit. The 48-year-old said: "Dad and I just thought we’ve got a similar kind of adventurous spirit "I knew that Dad is always so excited to hear about anything – he’s just naturally curious. So when this opportunity came our way, it was like, 'Right, are you up for it, Dad?' But I don’t think you quite realised what you were letting yourself in for! Although the duo were prepared for another part of the world, as Anita explained: "I tried to figure out where we might be going and thought it could be East Africa. So I started planning – I was like, right, it’s going to be Kenya, Tanzania, the whole thing, I’ve mapped it out. Then I even started training, drilling Dad in Swahili!" The only couple participating in the challenge are Tyler West and his girlfriend Molly Rainford. Tyler, who is best known for presenting various TV programmes and his own Kiss Radio show is putting his relationship to the test, as the duo go deep into Central America. The couple explained that despite the initial challenge, the experience only strengthened their relationship. Tyler explained: "I think when you’re here in everyday life, it’s so easy to hide behind work, busy schedules, and all those distractions. "But when you go to some of the places we visited, everything gets stripped back, you’re seeing the rawest versions of yourselves." The couple even admitted to learning things they never knew about each other while taking part. The radio DJ stated: "I thought I knew Molly, but once we went away, I realised, okay, now I really do know you – in every aspect. I’ve seen you in every situation. And I think that’s really special. "It only brought us closer together. There were definitely some tough moments along the way, but honestly, that’s part of why I fell in love with her and why we became so close. I couldn’t have done it with anyone else." Derry Girls actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie are racing together, hoping to make it to the finish line first. The mother and son duo knew it would be a challenge and were hesitant to ask locals or other travellers for help, but eventually got into the swing of things after a rocky start. Jackie, 59, explained: "We had a very slow start. We were both slow about it but it made us realise people were happy to help, and we shouldn’t have that fear. "We definitely improved as we went along and we were very confident by the end." Join the Daily Record's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
