The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas specials line-up has been revealed by the BBC, with Strictly Come Dancing and EastEnders stars entering the boardroom. The long-running BBC competition is back with a celebrity edition, having last aired one for Comic Relief back in 2019. The upcoming specials will see a range of stars try to impress Alan Sugar for Children in Need, with the stellar cast split into two teams. Big Brother's AJ Odudu, radio presenter Charlie Hedges, comedian Eddie Kadi, EastEnders' Jake Woods, Paralympian Kadeena Cox and GMB's Rob Rinder make up one team. Meanwhile, TV presenter Angela Scanlon, JLS star JB Gill, Gladiators' Matt Morsia, actress Sarah Hadland, comedian Shazia Mirza and ex Apprentice candidate Tom Skinner will work together in the second team. The two-part Christmas special will follow the famous candidates as they head to Lapland to create their own gingerbread biscuits. As well as the recipe, they'll have to develop a marketing strategy for their product - being tasked with creating an advert and a jingle. The teams will then pitch to retailers in the hopes of securing important sales. AJ Odudu's team create the vanilla and Christmas pudding-flavoured biscuit Jolly McTrouble - a portrait of Santa's naughty brother. Meanwhile, Angela Scanlon's team make Gary the Penguin - a gingerbread biscuit with flavours of bubble-gum and white pepper. Lord Alan Sugar will be welcoming the stars into the boardroom, with his aides, Baroness Karren Brady and Mike Soutar, keeping a beady eye on them. Meanwhile, the celebrities' biscuits will be available to buy in Asda, Tesco, Boots and other retailers with purchases helping support children and young people across the UK. Lord Sugar said on the new initiative: "It’s the first ever time on The Celebrity Apprentice that the public can buy products that were created by the celebrity candidates. It’s added some real pressure to the process. "I think the celebs thought they were in for an easy ride, but they were wrong! Raising money for BBC Children in Need is serious business, so the candidates really need to deliver if they want to avoid ending up on my naughty list.” * This is a breaking showbiz news story.
